Course Overview
The course aims to provide knowledge and understanding to successfully carry out gas tests and implement Permit to Work test procedures.

Course Outline
Acquire competence in the theory and practice of the following:
- Lower explosive levels (LEL)
- Confined space entry
- Trench entry
- Hot work preparation
- Process equipment testing
And understand the reasons for testing prior to:
- High explosive levels (HEL)
- Minimum oxygen levels to sustain life
- Flammable contaminants
- Toxic contaminants
- Testing equipment
- “Where” to test
