Course Overview

A comprehensive two day course covering dropped objects awareness and prevention, including practical exercises. What is a dropped object? Why do dropped objects happen? How can we prevent and reduce the amount of dropped objects? This course will introduce candidates to the DROPS program and guide them through four key elements of drops awareness and prevention: the consequences of a dropped object; controls to enable prevention; the supply chain and hazard observation.

Who Should Attend

Offshore and onshore personnel that work in environments where dropped objects can impact safety and integrity of equipment such as drilling installations, oil platforms, refineries, factories and other facilities.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

Understand what constitutes a dropped object
Understand how to risk assess, identify hazards and control dropped objects
Understand how to minimise the occurrence and impact of dropped objects in the workplace.
