Course Overview

During the course participants will learn and demonstrate to a level of competence on how to operate firefighting and fire protection equipment and how to deal with various fire situations onboard installations. Emphasis will be on leading and controlling fire / emergency response teams.

Who Should Attend

This Product is for personnel who are appointed to, or to be appointed to, the role of an Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader.

Course Outline

Delegates attending this training and assessment program will be given the series of explanation and demonstration which will identify what they are expected to know and do:

  • Maintaining relevant communications.
  • Effectively directing the team’s duties and tasks during the emergency response exercise.
  • Monitoring the team’s progress, evaluating, adjusting and communicating the response plan.
  • Briefing and De-briefing the team at appropriate points
  • Monitoring stress in self and others
  • On completion of the exercises, confirming and checking that the emergency situation is under control and ER team and relevant personnel are accounted for
