Course Overview

During the course participants will gain knowledge to perform effectively as Helicopter Emergency teams with a strong emphasis on practical emergency fire work.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for all personnel designated as helideck emergency/ fire teams

Course Outline

Understanding of helideck operations and safety requirements/ procedures (as per ICAO Standards)

  •     The movements of passengers, baggage and cargo to and from helicopter
  •     Familiarity with different helicopter types and their operation and emergency procedures
  •     Ensuring adequate fire protection is provided for each take off and landing
  •     Familiarity with management of dangerous good (DC)
  •     Helicopter refueling and procedures (offshore)
  •     Basic Marshalling signals
  •     Shutdown and security of aircraft on helideck
  •     Practical “live fire” drills and scenarios

Certification

TPTI Certificate. Validity period is 3 years.
