| The course aims to provide knowledge and skills for participants to be able to inspect and certify scaffold |
| structures in a responsible and safety conscious manner, giving due consideration for the safety of himself, |
| other personnel who may be on or enter the work site and the general public. |

| By the end of the program, participants will have the knowledge to identify, list, describe and/or demonstrate: |
| • An outline of the requirements for scaffolding including personal and worksite safety, protection of |
| others; |
| • Identification of the common forms of scaffolds with emphasis on British Standard tube/coupling |
| types, common fittings and accessories; |
| • Inspection and maintenance of safety equipment including harnesses, ropes, belts; |
| • Inspection and maintenance of scaffolding materials; |
| • Inspection and maintenance of ladders; |
