| Acquire competence in the theory and practice of the following: |
| Conduct an effective job safety analysis |
| Identify hazards |
| Implement hazard mitigating control measures |
| Write a job safety procedure |
| Validate the job safety procedure |
| Measure the effectiveness of previous JSAs for the same tasks |
| Identify levels of expertise necessary to safely carry out the task |
| Measure existing controls to control the hazards |
| JSA document control/accountability |
| Introduce concepts of basic risk assessments |
| and will be able to: - |
| Lead a job safety analysis |
| Achieve ownership of a JSA |
| More readily recognise hazards |
| Have prior learning for involvement in formal hazard studies |
